Orange/T Mobile

Post by Scott »

I've been on Orange for over 12 years now, but i recieved a text this morning along the lines of, i will get more signal now, when i can't get any signal from Orange my phone will automatically feed off the T Mobile signal if and when needed, been in several pubs today where it has never been possible to recieve calls/texts over the years, only to recieve full or thereabouts signal :) about time they sorted this out with all the technology around these days, the days of getting back to the car and getting 10+ missed call alerts because your in a boozer with no signal are over, anyone else getting this service? All i had to do to recieve this was turn my phone off/on and it was updated automatically with no extra charge.

everyone on tmobile and on orange, they have merged companies or something

only downside is: you have to completely drop out of signal "zero bars" & error message on handset stating no signal, then it will search for avail able networks... unless you log it on manually.. so even if you lose 99% signal on a 2g connection, it wont actually use this function..

mine has done it once so far (im on tmobile) it swapped to orange but i got a really really low signal strength, then 2 minutes later it switched back..

i suppose it might be a good thing, but isnt much to look forward to.

I watched my signal vanish on Orange, two seconds later it went up to 3 bars on T Mobile, no error message for me so far.

Orange signal round my was is attrocious. I remember when I was with 3, when there's went it use to look for orange!!! Handy for me!!!

The thing with newer phones is that they r always searching for 3g super bloop signal, if ur in an area where that kind of drifts in and out your battery takes a pounding!! I use to turn mine off(3g signal search) and then normally had full uninterupted signal in most places.

With 02 now, signal almost everywhere, only phone company I've been with that I've never really had a problem with signal at some point.

Tesco great value also, and they use 02 for service aswell.

I have no idea why anyone would bother with any other company when you can have 02! £15 a month for free txts and unlimited calls (02 only) on pay-as-you-go and never a problem with signals at all. I don't do contracts because I just want a phone to be a phone and not do your shopping or turn into the ideal sex toy or some shit!
how about a greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray.
