£35m for Andy Carrol?
That's ridiculous!!!!!
That's ridiculous!!!!!
When Darren Bent went to villa for £23m(altho I think it was about £20m up front and the rest on appearences/goals or whatever) many of my mates said it was a ridiculous amount. But with the exception of Rooney last year he's pretty much been the most prolific ENGLISH goalscorer over the last 4 or 5 years and most of that with shall we say less fashionable clubs, the fact he's been largely ignored by England managers is a joke.
Then somehow, an off pitch thug who don't get me wrong had looked impressive in his debut season in the premier league is apparently rated(by the murderers) at a stupid £35m!!!!
In my book that makes Torres worth £350m and Bent £200m.
Half a season in the premier league and he's worth that?
Newcastle fans should be happy, providing of course that money is re-invested.
It's sick!!!
In fruit machine terms, it's like Kenny Dalglish(aka the most miserable Cunt in the world) grafting hard all day, doin his playables with discipline and enduring a long day of travelling and numerous hits racking up a really good days profit and then spunking the lot on a roulette in minutes!!!!!

£35m is ridiculous, but Liverpools initial offer of 30m was just plain stupid!!! Why not offer £15-20m to start off with? Smacks of desperation if you ask me.
What made me laugh was the reporters saying we had to spend big on a proven striker to replace Torres - on Andy Carroll - don't make me laugh. I guess spending £22.8 million on a prolific goalscorer as loose change(albeit in the Erevidersie). A player who I'm surprised isn't playing for a top Spanish or Italian club. I really hope Suarez is the man.
At least we never blew silly money on Charlie Adam.
A player who I think reminds Kenny of Jan Molby.....only a few stone lighter.
He big, strong and he scores goals. He's a handful for defenders, he has a lot to learn and he likes whacking his bird about. Not the finished article by a long stretch....let's see how good he is when he's 24/25. If he's not inside, that is.
Much rather have had a fully fit Dean Ashton though. What a waste.

The price tag on all young English players has gone through the roof because of the homegrown rule coming into force soon when clubs like Chelsea will really struggle to meet the requirements without having a weak squad. 35 million is only paper talk anyway, it will probably be an overall figure after a sell on clause and bonuses etc. Saurez really impressed me against Stoke and I am hoping he will do it again tomorrow.
how about a greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray.
