Earlier on today I took my glasses off and couldn't remember where i'd left them, barely able to see I spent a good half an hour searching for them before I was satisfied i'd checked everywhere possible. I then spotted them by the dog basket, in about 20 pieces. The Newfoundland looked guilty, but pleased with herself all the same.

i wore glasses from the age of 5 till about 21 then had my eyes laser'd ,,,,,,,,,, i was one of the first few hundred people in the uk to have it done ,,,,,,,,,, and it was considered experimental ,,,,,,,,,,,,, you had to sign a waiver back then , to say that if you went blind , you couldn't sue the clinic ffs lol. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, cost a packet too ,,,,in the thousands ,,(me mam paid ,,, whooo),,,, i was actually done by the pioneer of the treatment himself , dr austin ,,,,,,,,,,, surrounded by russian trainee's
i was told that they didn't know the long term effects , and by age 33 my eyes had regressed back to shit .......... so its been back to glasses ever since.
a few weeks ago , i went for a review at bupa to see if they could be re-done. but due to internal scaring or somethingorother they cant .
the only treatment i could be suitable for , is actual lens implants in the eye , they have to cut into and peel half your eye open , insert the lens , then put em back together etc

Just join up to simplyhealth, their minimum plan is something like £14 p/m with no long term sign up and their optical benefit is over £100 from memory. Also get half your dental fees/physio etc back too, furthermore you are covered for other things like personal accident. I got £500 for breaking my arm.
