Just rung nhs direct about the bandage, they " strongly recommend i leave everything in place"
tbh she sounded like she was just reading from a script, so i think i will wait and see if it becomes unbearable and take it from there.

edit: the bandage comes a good 3 inches above the pot, just below my knee, and this is where its tightest so i decided to cut that off and discovered a layer of cotton wool inside the pot as well!
I mean, WTF????!!!!
Did they go out of there way to make me uncomfortable or what?

If you bang the cast against something accidentally without the bandage/cotton wool as a dampener it is going to hurt so much. The stuff top and bottom of the cast is to stop it rubbing.

Ouch isn't really the word for rock hard plaster reverberating on a very sore double fracture. You are going to be pleading with the CIA to come and practice their waterboarding techniques on you just to take your mind off the pain.

But if you don't plan on moving it won't make any difference.

Do you have a slave?
