Mr McStreak wrote:I was in an inland chain arcade once, and plump middle-aged lady was playing Party Time number 6. (out of 9) She had a Party Time that went back up around 5 or 6 times, and the last one gave her 3 consecutive jackpots, the first of which automatically paid out, so the others must have totalled a respectable amount for it to have broke the bank. She was quite vocal during this, hence my attention was removed from the Ultimo I was playing, and I watched as her risable delight reached its heights, a spectrum ranging from "i've got my house-keeping money back and my husband won't kill me" to "I'm actually in profit, and can afford to buy that rather unflattering dress I saw in Primark". But as the 3rd set of balloons rolled in her cries of pleasure took on an a completely different tone, dare I say it, almost sexual....... it was utterly nauseating, and I quickly reverted my attentions back to the matter in hand, as the red faced, shuddering, menopausal member of the local knitting club fought to control herself.

Truly an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone, and it haunts me to this day..... :o
Chortle.... I must admit to take an almost perverse fascination in how the more vocal loonies play machines.

When I used to play regularly, the moment I heard some nutjob start talking in earnest to a machine, I was over there like a shot to whatever pearls of wisdom and hilarity they were imparting.

Aside from the obvious anger episodes, I've heard and seen grown men literally plead with a machine just for "a shoat on the board that disnae rip the piss out of me and ma family". This is when I'm standing 3 feet away from them playing some abomination of a machine really slowly just to listen to their performance.

Kinda sad in a way. If this thread was about laughing at the disabled it would be shot down in flames.

there was a women who used to come in reilys about 5am and always loose but would say "for the bairns" very quietly before each spin if she was deep into the machine. thats the only reason they open the twatting clubs 24hrs as they make all the money off the clubbers.

On another linked note, I must confess to having a rush of blood to the nether regions when I drove off for the first time in my initial driving lesson.

mmm...that sentence could have been a car crash in itself if I'd have used words like 'pulled off' or 'pulled away' instead of drove off.

Posts about making money through tooling, or the methods of tooling are not allowed. Posts that say such and such a machine was probably tooled (ie Slammer in his massive Hi/Lo thread) are fine at the moderator's discretion. Posts that start with discussing tooling and then turn into squabbles will tend to get edited and locked.

Puerile posts (ie Original Poster) are allowed, but may be frowned upon, even deleted. Some of Ross08's posts are mildly amusing, but this one is just childish. It may not have made me chuckle, but I appreciate that perhaps some people may have found it funny, so it was left to stand.

Sir Alan Sugar if you please.

Nope, it was a Simon Cowell voice, although well spotted, just testing you, the prose was very AMSugaresque.

So I award you two vigilence points for pointing out that bizzarity in my postule. You can cash these in at any time for a flurry of bleeps. The bleeps can be PMd or posted publicly, but are not available for disclosure at any public meet ups. Sorry.

I think that JG is really a Commodore 64 SiD chip in disguise. ;)

Do you find yourself often manually adjusting the low-pass filter cutoff point to turn a bloop into a bleep? Heh-heh!
