I would have said Abba, but there's two girls in them. Diana Ross? She had a lot with the Supremes as well as solo.

Still no one got it.

Hmm, what about a duet? (or 2?)

Bollocks. Thought Blondie was a shoo-in.
Surely a duet is still a group?
Anyway, semantics aside, I was tinkering with the idea of Siobhan Fahey, but I'm going to plump for that gargoyle, Cher.
(the more astute amongst you will have noted that I've cunningly had 2 guesses).

Ah, but it could also be Roald Dahl.
But he only wrote the screenplay IIRC.

Thanks. I've been waiting to ask this question for a while now!
And it's everybody's favourite subject... mathematics! And everyone's favourite branch of mathematics... statistics!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Imagine a room filled with a number of random people. Each one is asked to write their date of birth on a piece of paper.
Now i fancy making a bit of money for myself. I would like to place a bet that 2 people in the room share a birthday. When I place this bet, I want to have a better than 50/50 chance that 2 people share a birthday.
Therefore, what is the lowest number of random people I would need in the room before my chances of winning this bet are greater than 50%?
(Forget about leap years, and this isn't a trick question).
