I'll try Chrissy Waddle- he has been a few times round the block since the Marseille Champions League days?

when the german footballer franco foda made his senior debut (as a substitute) the germans were playing brazil.

Well his name sounds quite Brazilian, so had he previously turned out as a schoolboy for Brazil?

Long shot- he was a wa nted Nazi war criminal who had fled to South America (as many did) and on returning to Germany to play for Brazil he was arrested.

good thoughts. but nothing to do with dual nationality.

the answer is to do with the reception he got from the brazilian fans and players
