Yngling was made an Olympic sport in 2004, but for women only.

It's actually a Norwegian word meaning "Youngster" if that's any help.

norwegian is germanic though. (only estonian and sometimes finnish fall under ugric) anyway, aside from that burst of pedantry i'm still none the wiser. erm lacrosse?

Well I've learned my lesson! :)

To be honest, yngling is more of a class of a sport than a sport itself. Yngling is also the name of the equipment used. Suffice to say, it's one of those Olympic sports that gets about 5 minutes of coverage if nothing else interesting happened that day.

However...
