i'm only an expert (such as it is) on the piccadilly line so couldn't elaborate across the network. but there used to be a station for the british museum which was about 20cm from holborn station. it is all to do with when the lines were owned by individual companies who had carte blanche to do as they pleased. i'll stop there as it could become very tiresome.
next one:
this is adapted from a mensa question and i don't think it has been on here before:
these four men are in gaol stood in the formation as shown.
each knows he is one of four prisoners each of whom is wearing one of four hats (two white, two black). none can see his own hat, over the wall or turn around.
the guard has told them that if one of them can tell him what colour hat each of the four is wearing he will set them free otherwise they will all be executed.
which man speaks and how does he know?

nobody ever wins on those things.

I think the answer is C.
D can see one of each colour and is therefore flummoxed. However, C can only see 1 white hat. He knows that if he too had a white hat on, then D would deduce that he had a black hat. However, since D has said nothing, C knows that he must have a different colour hat on from B.
Therefore C knows he has a black hat on.
