SKY 5.

Kind of an obscure one here.

Why did Sir Charles Napier think himself a clever so-and-so when he sent the one word telegram "peccavi" in 1863.

peccavi sounds like Italian or Latin, and it sounds like the 1st person singular.

Or maybe I dreamt all that.

Am I at all close?

Aye, peccavi is a Latin word....

(loving the avatar by the way)

EDIT: And yes, it is first person singular

Sounds like it could be derived from pecca as in impeccable...

so was he trying to say he had achieved perfection? or that he was just brilliant?

Hmmm, it's hard to tell you more without giving it away....

Suffice to say, peccavi means "I have sinned"

i have sinned in latin. vi visti vit, vimus vitis vint.
don't know the answer though.

Basically, one of the main regions in Pakistan is called Sind.

He captured it for the British, and sent that telegram to act the smart arse.

Possibly a bit on the obscure side there, sorry guys.

Nae luck. You should really get a job like mine (I've got about a 10% chance of getting fired tomorrow for trying and failing to be funny).

Right. Here's one of those questions that you hear that could well be complete baloney, but I'm going to ask it anyway.

What is the best-selling debut album of all time?
