Umm, silly question, but why did the French celebrate the 34th birthday of c de g airport? Do they do this every year? And did they celebrate it a few years ago after that walkway collapsed? or was that Orly?
CDG itself opened in name in 1974 (or '72 depending on which source you believe!)

The old pre-existing airport was called AĆ©roport de Paris Nord.

"In this year" referred to '74 - not "This year". Sorry if it was not clear or a little too cryptic.
