And for a Cardinal Point, what was remarkable about the year that they were relegated?

Don't know the team but as a wild guess on the year, I'll go 1961, which reads the same upside down.

Man City won the league in 1937, then the following season they were relegated, despite being the top scorers in the league and having a goal difference of +3.
