Thought our Caledonian affairs correspondent would be quick to swoop on that one. I quite enjoyed it and thought they were going to make the film but nothing seems to have materialised.
Staying with Trainspotting, although there were 6 main character in the film (Renton, Begbie, Diane, Sick Boy, Spud and Tommy) - only 5 appear on the poster used to advertise the film.
Well I read an interview with Kevin McKidd (who played Tommy) a few years ago, and he claimed that his absence from the photoshoot meant his career failed to launch in the same way as the rest of the cast... this would seem to be true, as the rest of them have gone on to star in major Hollywood and British films, whilst he hasn't.
Stuart is closest - he was actually on his holidays during the photoshoot - nobody anticipated how popular the film was going to be, so he never bothered his arse!
