If it's a £35 JP then 50p stake is legal just like CYDI. If it's £5 JP shouldn't be more than 10p a go although I played a £5 Hi roller in llandudno recently that lets you play 10p,20p,30p play which is illegal as far as I know.

Cat D Machines should be £5 JP max and 10p stake max. Thats about all I know on Cat D's.

Here's a quick paste of the rule

Definition of Category D gaming machine
3.—(1) Where a machine is a non-money prize machine, it is a Category D machine if—

(a) the maximum charge for use is no more than 30 pence; and
(b) the maximum prize value is no more than £8.
(2) Where a machine is a money-prize machine, it is a Category D machine if—

(a) the maximum charge for use is no more than 10 pence; and
(b) the maximum prize value is no more than £5.
(3) In any other case, a machine is a Category D machine if—

(a) the maximum charge for use is no more than 10 pence; and
(b) the maximum prize value is no more than £8, of which no more than £5 can be a money prize

i think the stake should be relevent to the jackpot; £5; 5p, £25; 25p, and as for a £35er, i think 30p is enough, 50p a go on machines nowadays is daylight robbery. all those days of using your beer change have gone! (you dont get much change out of a fiver at the bar nowadays!! :( )

It's only been done to stop people ripping them to shreads. No more 10p dials i'm afraid. Virtually unplayable on 50p, can nick phones and thats about it.

I dont get BFM. Why didn't they just amend the no. gambles right from the second chip? Without them you'd be fucked. Dial or no Dial?
