Well That Was A Complete Shock!

Post by HornyNick »

I was just playing Your Lucky Knight (excellent machine btw shame i never played it proper) ,on the emulator when i noticed JPM.CO.UK flash on the display, so I thought I would check it out.

JPM are still going! I thought they shut down all operations years ago, al least at the time when Sega decided to stop manufacturing consoles. It turns out Crystal released club machines as late as 2006. I dont go in clubs or play SWPs very much.

Does anyone know when the last proper JPM pub machine was realeased in the UK?

Years ago!!!

JPM pulled out of the AWP market, but keep going offering Club's and do alot of video based offerings for all markets.....

They lost alot of software engineers and game designers, who have now gone onto other AWP company's or set up on their own!

:D

i saw one a couple of years ago,, a 25 one that was called wirlwind or something like that, used to be an amazing machine

used to never offer anything, untill we realised that if you collected your nudges and set up for okey dokey on red 7's it used to roll them every time you set up for it...

Rollercoaster was the best machine of all time!! Although they did have some shit like red alert.

I was about to say its a shame Barcrest Group didnt buy them out but then i remebered what the once great maygay name means these days......

I urge any1 with mfme to d/l Your Lucky Night. Its such a shame that i never played this properly cos it is excellent! Jus d/led viva rock vegas tonight, id forgotten how good that was too!

red alert/impulse were brilliant IMO, there was firemans lift and plenty of other skill features on it, you only had too see if it was numbering (3 and 8 on this) and away you went, JPMS were'nt bad for repeating too, red alert and cash buster always repeated yipppppeeeee!

ps whatever happened too numbering?

Perhaps someone may know more but I was told that the top two programmers at JPM went on to set up Red Gaming.

Red Alert was an awesome machine. Loads of ways of getting JP. Impulse would go huge, Rolled it for £90 once (2 £45 tops off consecutive boards)
Wasn't firemans lift a free win at some point ?

As for numbering how about R2R ?

r2r? in this case whaich r2r are you talking about?

you could empty a couple of jpms, i *think* some wins were free, but it usually came down to the skill element on the games

Maximum Overdrive was another great JPM machine. Used to laugh at the hi-lo reelband judder into place each time. This was when Fast Cash WAS a skill feature too.

I also have fond memories of Supre Breakout, ahhh good old nostalgia. :D
