Looking Down The Reels.

I've seen people on a regular basis look down the 3 reels, but I dont have a clue what there looking for / at?

The machines they do it on are the 3-5 player ones, e.g. monopoly, party time etc etc.

Anyone know why they look down the 3 reels and what there looking for / at?

I seen them doing it on all the playing positions then start putting money into the machine they must think have an easier chance of winning.

Any ideas?

They'll be looking at the hopper levels of the machines, that's all.
You can see them on a lot of the sit down lo-tecs....

So by looking down the reels you can see how full / empty the hopper is?

Yep, if you don't, when one comes full, take a look, remember.

I'll always have a few set ups on a monopoly regardless but if it's close 8)

I used to do it on Fireballs / Reds before learning the reel setups for locohold / fruit-steps respectively... This is probably more likely what you are seeing if you mainly play in pubs...

Some people look a bit twatish though when they're trying to view the back of reels - spilling beer and stuff everywhere... :)
