AAAAAARRRRGHHHH

Now I am by no means the most experienced player on this forum (as I often admit). But I went in my local tonight - and NEVER have I seen a machine as ready as this was. EXCEPT....I wasn't the one playing it.

It was a mazooma coronation street. Now it was letting this old guy onto the board i reckon every 5 - 6 spins (so about every £1.50) and time after time it was offering him so much yet he seemed oblivious. He didnt go higher or lower upon entry to get a skill stop, and when it gave him super start and a 'slow down' shuffle, somehow he managed to hit it with TWO question marks in view.

Once I saw it start with one step, TWICE with two steps, and once with three steps. Yet he just took them randomly - it was starting him on boards without any question marks, but rather than carry on until it shuffled then gave him a question mark then stepping off them, he just used them straight away to take him round the board. GRR.

On top of that, it was STARTING on a fiver!! If thats not a cast iron sign to push on a I don't know what is.

In the end, he just extracted every little bit of value left in the machine. I tried to mop up any seconds but he had just killed the thing stone dead. I was extremely unhappy :x :x :x

He was probably thinking that there is nothing worse than young lads watching me when i am trying to have a quiet go on the fruit machine, have they nothing better to do??

The fruit machine world would be a very boring place if only clued up players play the machines 24/7.

Where i live, there is a real fruit culture with the young uns at the moment 16-20 year olds. the good thing is that they do not have a clue what they are doing, they get all flustered when it offers a fiver and have to collect as the pressure is too much for them

Then i will quietly go about my cleaning up act

haha, excellent for you!

Another time I might have gone over and helped him out - maybe told him he could use his steps on a question mark, maybe even showed him the transfer trick etc. But he kept collecting low wins and I thought he was about to come off so I could clean up - but instead he kept pushing for another board until he'd killed the thing :(

Thats is very annoying. Ive seen mazzomas pacman go red and a person collect 3 quid. Next board it goes red and he collects 2 pound!
He gets off it and i get on it and it doesn't go red any more!!!

Just have to get on with it really.

every single person on here has watched someone make a right mess on a machine that you could have taken for maximum profit, but like said above you need these people too play so the machine gets too a ready state. on the other hand how many times have you seen someone on a red thats arb1..... collect a £5er because they are on a dodgy number and walk away. :D

Yeah its usually ok when people bottle it at a fiver and walk off. What was so annoying was the way that this guy just killed the machine completely and left it with fook all playability.

i was watchin a guy on a campers in my local spoons.
he had dragged a stool to it so i think im on to a winner
He gets a 5er start with 5 spins.
spins him up to 15 quid, he then spins to lose but resusitates
then he collected the 15 quid!!!! unbeleivable!!
i could have hit him i was sooo stressed out!!!
then he started to milk it and i couldnt be arsed with it.
dissapointing tho coz id waited for an hour and a half!!!

I can't really sit and watch others play machines in that way. If I walk in and see someone on a machine I was planning to have a pop at, I'll 'usually' either go on something else or leave and go somewhere else for a bit.

Majority of the time, returning to the pub later on usually finds the machine in a good state (there's not too much competition around here! ;) )

Mattrick's right about this fruit culture with the young 'uns.

Go to any bowling alley with fruits in, you're guaranteed to be sharked by at least 10 kids (all under 16), and usually a 70-80% chance they will try and take over. Had that done to me yesterday playing on a 30p £5 Stack Attack, which was playing shit, probably due to being raped by these lot.
