Italian Job
No mate thats no update thats just how bad these breed of machines are, and you've just been lucky upto now not to get too badly stung.
I had a dabble on 1 on sunday waiting for the footy to start, £40 bought me 5 boards, non of which laster more than 5 moves.
5 COB's
2 Lose
2 £1 bar win
1 £3 Red cash (No repeat)
Then got the DOND game for a 1p box that repeated for £5 then got a megastart offering £20 on cash so collected, 1 last COB for £7
Lost around £30 - £40 with virtually no interaction with the machine and all done and dusted in 10 mins tops.
p.s Uncles means Monopoly hot property clone symbols for the DOND game.

Yeah as far as value and entertainment for your money go this machines way down there at the bottom of the pile, you would think manufacturers would want to keep punters interested in playing by at least producing a half decent feature game and one that doesn't blatently slam a red hot poker straight up your arse lmao
Uncles.. made me chuckle Mc
Hot Property's another bitch of a machine though aswell. I thought Cops n Robbers was ok at times but still tight as a ducks arse!!

Ha! Nice find mate..... the good old days eh? The way I remember it each reel behaved in a set way, and you could "light the letters", get nudges and set the reels up so the next spin would be 3 melons for the jp...gambogaz1 wrote:Someones selling 1 on ebay for the spectrumMr McStreak wrote:Yes fruit machine Simulator 1 and 2 by codemasters were great on the c64.![]()
Coool!!
Just jumping back to ITJ for the mo after last night I now firmly believe there is no % build up what so ever in this machine when using notes. My mate god bless him put £340 notes not coins through this for 1 measley fuckin poxy dead flat MS which credit breaked and went for £47!!!!! forty fookin bastard shitty seven quid!!!!!!! after £340 in
Now someone tell me that thats just not right !!!

Yes the 1st reel span down one position every time. The middle reel went up 6, and reel 3 down 10 or something. So if you held two melons on reels 2 and 3 and it was one above on reel 1 it would drop in guaranteed.Mr McStreak wrote:Ha! Nice find mate..... the good old days eh? Cracking game though, reminded me of some of the JPM stuff on MPS tech with the Melon Meter, like Lootshoot, Supershot and so on. I was listening to the sid file only the other day. Used to piss me off playing it when you pulled the joystick down which ended the game.
Fruit machine simulator 2 was more of a Cash Counter affair and I never really got into it as the gamplay could be a bit sparse at times.
There was also another game, 2p play £1.50 jackpot with Skulls as the jackpot symbols. Decent little game in the BWB Rat Race mould. can't remember the name of it but it was a good effort.
Supernudge2000 and Dizzy Dice were OK for a few minutes.
Anyway, DOND, Monopoly Hot Property, Popeye, Italian Job, Family Guy...I fully agree they are shite.
Notes, coins same thing, It's an urban myth in the making that notes don't count. The amount of people I see going to the bar for change when there's a working notey is still quite funny.
I prefer to use notes on reds like Vortex as you can play it out much quicker without bringing unwanted attention from the speed of coins being shoved in.

Agree with Gambo there!
Heh, you can play those on the emulator, which I have been doing of late!
There was a rare one on the Amiga that I also liked: AMOS Coindrop, which was an example of what could be programmed using AMOS (which really kicked off my love for programming!) but was really good fun. I'll try and dig it up from one of the Amiga Emulator sites, must be there somewhere...

"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."
I agree there is or should be no difference whatsover in coins or notes but it just seems to sck about £6 off the top of every £20 note to go in for a board. Another little thing i noticed whilst witnessing this massive loss of currency
was that it blocked for an age (about £70) but then when my mate changed the stake to 30p a play it threw a board like instantly and bam the MS was there in the box 1st board. I think 50p a play is a much higher risk than the 30p a play game as when on 50p it can just cane 100's as the 30p a play seems much more generous at giving the JP.
Anway yeah it's shite and don't play it. Just still angry
There were some quality fruity games on the Amiga and C64

The skulls for £1.50, that was a quality game. There was definitely a way to clean up. Hold on a second, long time ago. It was something to do with gambling the nudges and banking them and next spin it'd hold and the skulls would be there. Six different features.
"Arcade fruit machine simulator"?
Just so I'm not one of these off topic *holes who talks about Vice Versas and stuff, going back to IJ3, the old notes thing, yeah as Gambo says, myth.
BUT....
It is worthy of note (note -hahahahha, sorry) that notes/coins = guaranteed same % added to value BUT there is no reason why the software cannot play differently based on credit remaining.
Then there's the issue of not collecting banks to get better payouts. Mostly myth, but, well that's a story for another time.
Probably lightened up on 30p as same value pot, but different reflex.
DOND is random on these bar the 'pre planted' MS board,

I think that bank collection is more of a psychological thing. If you 'see' a big old amount in the bank, it does 'feel' better than seeing it stuck on 0. Unless I really have to (lack of change, etc.), I won't collect anything from the bank to 'recycle' as it feels like you're 'going down' when in real terms, it probably doesn't matter a jot...
