Too good to be true

Post by jimbo111 »

Well when i started this post i was totally honest and have been throughout it..ALAS today like a bolt from the blue i should have seen it coming i guess lost all i had plus a drop more...i guess it must have been a lucky streak i was on but today showed me just how hrad these machines can be ...i keep a log off what i play and have been playing so here goes...Played 2 numbers 21 and 24 ..starting out i put 60p on 21 and 40p on 24...ive always so far been able to get a hit pretty quickly or at most after losing £20 i upped it by 20p on each till i got a profit..Anyhow today this is the exact gameplay

£30 loss at 60p and 40p = 30 spins no hit....

£24 loss at 80p 40p >>20 spins no hit

£32 loss at 80p and 80p>>>20 spins no hit

£50 loss at £1 £1 >>25 spins no hit

£200 loss at £2 £2 50 spins no hits

£400 loss at £4 £4 50 spins no hit

£500 loss at £10 £10 25 spins no hit

Game over no further play...total loss £1246 total spins >>220 ..

I have to say though that to bet 2 numbers and miss well over 200 times seems a bit much but im not gonna go into the it aint random bearing in mind also that the numbers i bet dont appear on the previous 12 occassions either...a guy playing another machine in laddies today also lost a packet over £2k with absolutely £0 returns..so there we have 2 machines in a cpl hours take in over £3k with no reply...anyhow its allover for me and nomore trips to the bookies time to look for proper employment..only saving grace was most of the money i lost was the bookies anyway but well that goes for nothing...anyhow the odds ive ascertained from the wizard of odds site on this actually happening are

(36/37)200 = 0.000020127. so as you can sess almost mathematically uncountable but well we all know just how these machines are..anyhow i got lucky for a while so its NOT a method its a lucky streak i was on ...anyhow for those that are interested heres a complete rundown on results.

11 19 26 26 0 8 11 35 26 3 9 16 17 23 34 28 29 1 6 34 34 0 18 14 32
17 26 20 27 20 3 2 30 28 11 13 10 10 11 15 29 22 8 30 30 1 5 5 10 33
31 25 29 26 26 26 <<<3times in a row>19 15 4 4 0 11 9 16 18 32 2 2
14 7 5 34 20 35 11 0 23 12 8 14 27 14 27 32 26 20 15 17 3 8 11 0 1
25 6 6 3 4 2 7 23 25 25 13 11 11 14 23 29 28 28 26 3 4 35 1 17 27 27 27<<<3times in a row> 18 27<again> 31 31 34 2 10 5 14 32 12 29 27
27 3 6 16 17 29 0 0 30 31 11 13 29 35 33 29 1 11 20 18 9 28 22 36
36 9 15 22 22 31 29 34 30 27 22 6 0 17 19 22 19 14 31 2 2 2 <<<3times in a row>4 15 15 28 26 28 35 33 33 10 11 29 26 <<<17 blacks in succession>3 0 34 32 11 <196>17 15 3 32 14 12 20 25 25 9 35 12 15 34 12 23 23 25 36 4 4 10 10 3
so there we have it details of 220 spins =£0 returns odds almost incalculable..the idea behind keeping a note of those numbers was to see eachday howlong it took me to build up to the £20 profit i needed to walk and never ever before went past 30 spins..bear in mind also that the wizard off ods maths is based on an example of 200 spins on the site there was actually 232 my 220 plus 12 previous numbers..so its actually much less..

Theory>> only reasonable presumption is that it was on the take to make up fo rperhaps someone who had previously won and it works to a % i dunno but its the only logical explanation for this i guess i doubt very much you could spin any roulette wheel in te world for 232 spins covering 2 numbers and none of these came up...theres also the absurdity of the same number repeating 3times in a row on 3 different occassions i mean really does this happen so frequently on a fair game?? and number 27 actually came in 4 times in 5 spins..hmmmm then 17 blacks in a row whats that about...

conclusion>>i hit a lucky streak and was disciplined enough to walk with decent daily profit but then get faced with this outrageously incalculable event occurring which gives you literally no possible way to survive..it would be ok saying why didnt you walk well quite honestly when your faced with the odds stacked in your favour after say 100+ spins of no wins then you need to keep playing on the basis it might/will?should happen but yet again FOBT have shown me the light and fortunately now its a red light for danger and the stay away sign is in place..incidentally the other guy who lost £2k in sametime i was playing started off betting £20 a spin covering a few red numbers and upped it too £40 then £60 and had 19 blacks in a row which finished him off....fair game???

Anyhow partys over reality has hit home tonight and in a way im pretty glad to be honest i know ill never lsoe another £1 on these or in a bookies where to be honest i never went to back horses since FOBTs were introduced.

outcome >>well quiet saturday first time in ages due to finance paid on tuesday and seeking new mployment..

good luck everyone and all the best 2008..

Thanks for your honesty. It'll hopefully open other people's eyes as to what a waste of time and money 'proper' gambling constitutes.

Ive

Post by true_blue_1690 »

Ive never ever joined a forum before but thought after reading this i must write something....I in the past 3 weeks have lost over £12k on FOBTs..you may say yes i am a lunatic but yes okay i might be but until you read what i am going to write please do not judge me..

For te period from january 11th 2007 until december 19th 2007 i was £15,500 up on roulette playing Fobts..

On the day in question i was cashing out for a typical £50 win when the manager for some reason got a little pissed off and remarked that he in his words "was gonna make sure my winning times were over"..he was actually a nasty man at best of times and even to nrmal punters hated paying oput even £1..so my consistent winnings got to him eventually...on the day in question i went with my reiept to collect my winnings he took the ticket paid out the £50 and made the statement i wrote above..i wished him and his staff a merry xmas refusing to bite on his words ...i was off for a few days hlidays and didnt return until 24th december xmas eve...

Now the reason i won so much is that i played the martingale system starting with one machineplaying £5 a spin and end always got in fron no matter what..it DOES work..however the 24th december is a date ill never forget..i walk into the shop the manager has a smirk and i ask for a re payslip and try my best to iggy the manager..who remarks "hope u do well"..backing my usual starting £5 red then £10 upto £50 i was quickly £200 down ..7 blacks in a row..ok i can concede easily hats roulette...£900 later theres now 19 blacks in a row and i need to get out which i do to the managers..glee he says gbye :(

26th december im quickly £1100 down betting all reds against a board that has already 11/12 blacks..23 blacks in succession i then hit a red but still way way down...i go on what poker players call TILT..im betting £100 a spin quickly covering 34 numbers and 5 times in 6 hits the other 3 come up..hahha

Anyhow t cut a long story short since the day the manager got gripy and told me my winnings would end ive lost as i write above a fortune...culminating today in betting 30 numbers £100 a spin over £3600 in 2 hrs...last 9 spins were all losers ..odds = mathematically possible but EXTREMELY unlikely...all in all i now firlmy believe the machines are crooked..and betting shops ccan themselves manipulate win/loss ratios...i have no reason to lie about what ive written but i hope you guys who read this are aware that these machines IMHO are EXTREMELY crooked....infact it seems since the day betting shops opened they have manipulated every possible system to remove £ from guys pockets and these machines are like a goldmine to them...STEER CLEAR THEY ARE DEF RIGGED.

I'm unsure you're sums are correct, but just a point of information for people:

Chances of winning the lottery are roughly 13.9million to 1, or a 0.00000007% chance, and yet usually there's at least 1 person that will overcome these odds each week.

so you staked £1246 in order to try and make a profit of £20?!

That's quite a bit stupid really.
