I actually scored 51 on the last day.
I was not so much lucky, I had a clear strategy, that was to pick the runners that made up the largest % of the book, dues to the point system of 10, 6, 3, 1.
I felt to winl the competition any other way would be going against the mathmatically correct way of selecting those that could get the most points.
When you can get 6 points for a 2nd, if the odds are say 2/1 and winning pays 10 points then picking those that you think could be profitabel based on the SP, if that was the case it would be well worth picking selections to beat the likes of frankel and black cavier as you would of scored more for a e/w place than the returned prices on either of the short odds on shot.
Ok so it was not really in the spirit of the competition, lazy yeah I suppose because I couldn't even be bothered to type the names out.

Cheers Harry.....good fun as always... I managed to turn a profit for the week, which I duly lost at haydock watching grade 5 donkeys.

They used to get some points. These were awarded by master of games, and then master of the game, I don't know what he uses as his name now.

i'm pretty sure if he did come back then he would choose a suitably modest user name

I offered twenty quid for first place last year, but the winner turned it down. Just the kudos of being champion is the real prize. Was annoyed that I missed a couple of days with my tips. Still I made enough money over the week at Ascot to pay for a nice holiday.
