I'll be laying Portsmouth this weekend. Ipswich are undefeated at home this year. :P

Our mini crisis came to an end thanks to Everton's 2-0 win over Southgate's useless Boro.

Best value today (there's not much about) looks like a draw between Derby/Wigan. Derby are at least finding the net at last and Wigan are quick on the draw away, so the 11/5 down the high street/3.3 Betfair looks reasonable.

I did promise itsme a double so for those who favour such bets (I don't), go with Bolton tomorrow at home to Blackburn (5/4 high street, a much better 2.84 Betfair). Should be a tight derby but Bolton's home form is quite good and Blackburn have really gone off the boil. Yes Anelka's gone, but Blackburn are also de-stabilised by paper talk about Hughes.

Swansea were a huge 5/4 with Ladbrokes to beat managerless Luton today, had a cheeky double with the hammers.

No joy last week. Thought Derby might have held on for the 0-0 but hey-ho. Draws are always risky bets, so let's have another one this week...

Much as I hate wetboy Southgate (now that Sammy Lee has gone off to Fatcamp), Boro look reasonable value for the draw today over at Ewood. 9/4 down the high street, 3.8 Betfair. Remember - it's still the bookies' money we're playing with - just.

Boro +1 are even money at first bet. I think Newcastle have value this week 5/4 Ladbrokes.

Back on track thanks to Boro getting that draw at Ewood. I love it when draws come in, especially that one since Boro should have won by 5.

Sticking with my 'Gareth Southgate is a useless tosser' method, even though Boro looked good against Blackburn, I'm tipping Wigan to get a result at the Riverside tonight.

Boro are unpredictable as a team, but Southgate is not - he's a twat.

Wigan are 11/4 high street and a tasty 4.3 on Betfair. Just do it.

Ok I got £40 to bet this weekend.

Would you go for a few bets, or a treble or a double?

Last bet I did was a whopping 12 teams. 11 won :(

Given a £40 betting fund, I'd go for a £35 value single, a £4 treble and a £1 12 team roll up for the excitement

I'll see if I can help you with the single. I'll post it tomorrow once I've crunched some numbers on the weekend fixtures.

Whack your £35 on Villa, as Fulham are pants, should get some 5/4

Well I ended up losing £150 on a poxy red last night. Was drunk and didn't mean to play it so I'll be having a double/ trebble on the footie this weekend to recoup my losses.

Was thinking of the following. Don't laugh

Liverpool to beat Sunderland ( we have to win soon and we are at home )

Rangers to beat Falkirk

Possible Celtic to beat Aberdeen

and Villa to beat Fulham who are woeful at home

OK I've decided to go for the following

Portsmouth v Chelsea (Chelsea win)
Liverpool v Sunderland (Liverpool win)
Rangers v Falkirk (Rangers win)
Fulham v Villa (Villa win)
Aberdeen v Celtic (Celtic win)

Not sure of my stake but would like to win £150 so may throw £30 on

Any bet is risky but I fancy these. Chelsea's record against portsmouth is fantastic. Liverpool have to win really and are at home. Yes Sunderland are doing ok but haven't really registered back to back wins. Liverpool need to bounce back

Ranger is probably a easy pick
Villa should beat fulham who've just 2 wins at home all season
Celtic will need to win on Sunday to keep pace with Rangers so no motivation needed there.

They gotta win soon. i know they have had heaps of draws but it can't go on forever. the West Ham game was a joke and they know that so they will want to bounce back in style. Sunderland haven't won on the road yet.

Althought we don't have a great record against them that counts for nothing. It all starts tomorrow
