It was an interesting show, but it was nothing new. Scammers have been doing it for years to make people invest in a system which will beat the stock market / bookies.

If you care to do a search for other posts on Derren Brown, you'll see I'm a great fan. I went to see his stage show a few years back and it was very clever. However, this particular stunt wasn't so clever, as he repeated a reasonably well-known scam that has been about for years.
