Hex Maniac
Frustrating lunch break today- did some serious shoe leather hunting out the back alleys and the like and evertime I found something there was groups of city types huddled round playing hex. :x
I have come across a few terminals that actually doesn't include Hex. £6 is reachable but usually this game covers the drinks money. Need to memorise all the elements, star patterns, moons, Pratchett and King books etc. to reach £8+Istenem wrote:i'm pretty sure i've been to £8, but as you say, £6 seems to be par.
still free money on this one and it seems to be on every major platform.

there is no need to memorise anything if you can know it: there are only 117 elements (118 if you count MOLYBENDIUM) each of which is a thing of beauty and elegance, TUNGSTEN is my favourite and that swedish village rolled a double-6. the only moon which can trip you up is MOON and there are huge margins for error on the books. welsh names and surnames can be anything and i'm no good at geography. but free vowels is good for if it's a boy/girl. there is little joy in winning from Hex but it is easy.logopolis wrote:Need to memorise all the elements, star patterns, moons, Pratchett and King books etc. to reach £8+

And there's no point in learning them.
i purposefully haven't learned any set since uni. knowing something, remembering something and having learned something are all different. i still don't know the scrabble 3s because most of them are not words and that is not fun. but i get paid for using words properly so that is something that i enjoy. quite aside from SWP, there can be a small joy in leisure time.
