twice in the last couple of days i have had a decent cashpot then gone on to the end game and seen the total prize ' round-up ' to £20 - £12 pot then £8 offer and £10 pot and £10 offer - has anyone won more than £20 on a single game? , i would imagine it is pretty rare as the cashpot maximum is £20 and the chances of an end game win over £20 are remote - what is the biggest win on £1 play mode?

I wouldn't complain too much! I've never seen that much awarded in one go on the £1 Monopoly and as for the 50p version I'd guess that £20 was the total payout to everyone ever...

I'm very much undecided about this game. When it first appeared on IT boxes I seemed to qualify quite often. However it has got to the stage where I don't see one where the target score is less than 6000. I'm not sure whether this necessarily means it's no good but I cannot get there! It doesn't seem to have many horrible spoiler questions and I usually end up frustrated that I don't know the answer I've just got wrong. Almost a "should have known that" moment. Invariably when I've qualified the offers are quite good and I'd say in about 50% of cases if I've turned the offer down I've been awarded a bigger prize.
I always found on the 50p game that invariably you turned over one of the brown properties for a "massive" 50p win....

I've long felt that on both 50p and £1 versions it has two modes - "willing to pay" or "not really willing to pay". On the former, it's pretty straightforward general knowledge questions all the way to the endgame and a respectable offer of e.g. £2.50 / £5 upwards in the endgame. On the latter it begins kindly enough but by about 2000 points starts giving much harder stuff - it is perfectly possible to qualify for the endgame on this mode, but you probably won't get more than a 50p / £1 offer on the endgame. I usually play a game of this, as I enjoy it and, at least on the £1 version, it'll occasionally give you a decent prize.
