Some kind of poker table thingee

Post by Northern Monkey »

Spotted lunchtime- some kind of poker thingee like one of those old two player lounge table type space invaders only higher of the floor. Anyone seen or played?

think there's a couple of different versions of these .you only play for bragging rights on them, nothing to stop a crafty tenner under the table though.

I saw one for the first time yesterday, certainly wasn't in the pub last time I went there a couple of months ago so they might be getting rolled out at the moment.

Didn't play, but saw it was advertised as £1 for 20 minutes play time (or something like that) so looks like an SWoP.

It's called heads up challenge, entertainment only.

I presume there is nothing to stop you playing for a side bet like with an online HU SNG's or indeed a game of pool.

Could be a good earner for very good players. Although going around strange pubs hustling drunks could prove a bit precarious.

play them while you can. Word in industry is that the Gambling Commission has them down as Gaming machines. So they are illegal in pubs as they would be B3 machines also duty would be very high like £400o per machine. ouch!! Word has it they will be seized very early in New Year !!

How can you class a "for amusement only" machine as a gaming machine?

as i understand it, the A of AWP is swallowed by the S of SWP then that gets swallowed by a spider who wriggled and jiggled and squiggled inside her.

eventually the old dear coughs up. you win a horse.
nobody ever wins on those things.
