Would be a good idea, as long-word-finding games usually end up in a half-cleared dog's dinner of a grid and sub-800 point score, so profitable for you lot.

You can't, there isn't a machine in every town.roberto la vigna wrote:And when has that ever happened?Ernest W. Quality wrote:It's not really a national board unless it's across all cabinets.
It's a national board if you can place by playing in any town in the country.
I was extremely close to getting an 18 letter word last Friday.

in theory i'd welcome one of these but in practice it would become like the top scores of scrabulous where there were 20 jokers who had achieved their life's work by setting up OXYPHENBUTAZONE
scanning ENABLE and planning a specific word/words to get is all very well but it does rather stick two fingers up at the spontaneity of the game.

nobody ever wins on those things.

Well, it just becomes a different kind of task.Istenem wrote:scanning ENABLE and planning a specific word/words to get is all very well but it does rather stick two fingers up at the spontaneity of the game.
What I would like about it is that it would upskill players, showing them that it is possible to manipulate the grid to create real biggies and implying that many of the big total scores are achieved thanks to these words' contribution.
Anyway, there can still be spontaneity in having a promising candidate pop into your head or in artful shifting of the tiles.
