Bullseye on the Ladbrokes website

Post by Nil Satis »

I was sent an e-mail about this and have just had a quick look to check it's a quiz game not an AWP. It is indeed a quiz game and at first glance appears to be the same basic game as the quiz game beloved of so many. The only difference I could spot on the Demo Mode was that there are Bully heads appearing on one of the topics on some of the questions, which leads me to believe that it will be the same basic set-up as the Hangman game, namely 99% of games ending in a £1 win if you are lucky with a Cash Pot awarded every so often if you get a certain number of Bullys (Bullies?).

If it is indeed the same basic setup as the Hangman game I'd be surprised if it's of any interest to the regulars on here but it's there to have a look at anyway.

king.com has some free money in it.
the Qs are a bit more UScentric than we are used to but the only ones where the septics have an advantage are the baseball equivalent of our tricky footie questions.
nobody ever wins on those things.

I 'won' £74 on the 'demo' verision of this. Indeed, collecting a fixed number of Bully heads awards a 'jackpot' value, but it does appear that you can continue. The prize board had values ranging from £5 up to about £25 each time I played. :o

I noted with some amusement that it points out the demo is for 'gameplay experience purposes only'. So, I assume that the pay-to-play version will be a lot stickier. Has anyone tried it fully?

Erm, I thought the graphics left plenty to be desired.

For once there is a little honesty here - the splash screen for Demo Play states:

"For this game Demo Play is designed to easily introduce (sic) you to the gameplay mechanics and features and as such the difficulty may not be representative of Real Play."

where most sensible people will of course read "may not" as "will not".

The main difference I have seen is that when it asks you for a 701 (which it does frequently), it's always a 25pt bull. Which is nothing like the original.

Demo play pays out all the time. Ignore it.

I've noticed that the demo endgame also appears to be true skill. Is this something that is not the case in the real game? I suppose if it remains true skill in the real version then it:

-Makes it a bugger to get there with spoilers, low bull values.
-Only offers very small prize values on the prize board.

I will ignore the demo mode as suggested in relation to how the real one plays, but as I refuse to sign up to any form of on-line gambling, it's as far into it as I'll ever see... ;)
