I'm told this chap used to be a face on the London SWP scene - I've been to a few of his pub quizzes over the years and he knows how to run a good one, I must say.

I like his Dictaphone idea! Does anyone else do this?

Ah, that takes me back ...

"Can I borrow your Dictaphone?"

"No, use your finger like everyone else."

I used a dictaphone occasionally when playing Give us a Breaks - somewhere I have a tape which ends with a large ca-chug-ca-chug noise. Only thing is, you look pretty odd talking to yourself if you're playing on your own ;) Nowadays, if a question really got my goat I'll write it down on the front of the day's paper.

OMG! My old mate Eddie gets his 15 minutes at last!

Known this chap for 20 years, lovely bloke, capable of extremely deceptive levels of focus.

As for dictaphones, one of the first times i met EJT he was constantly muttering into his shirt pocket!

All the best,

Pike

PS Played his Wenlock quiz at the end of May with another forum member and won by 10 points or so, quite embarrassing, only beer vouchers for a prize, so eddie had a good drink!
