I'm not a massive swp player but do they have signs like awp's do? i was playing dond and the first three scores to reach were under 15000, only made it to the cash round on the third punt, left with 3 and 10 dealt at five and had 3 in the box, anyway, would those scores have deserved a carry on? i played one more game and the score was 38000, do they progress like some bandits?

Yes, most SWPs have signs that they are willing to pay out - most of them aren't particularly elusive to anyone who's played them a bit either. On DOND, low targets are a good bet, as are small numbers of questions for each box (say 1 or 2), or advantageous picking of boxes - but even if the target is high, if you notice the machine isn't giving any spoiler questions and you're on to the second or third round, I find that usually indicates it'll give you a few quid.
Three consecutive <15k games sounds like you were playing at the Thicko Arms to me anyway. The 38k would definitely have been worth a stab. Sounds like it had more than £3 in it so you should have kept playing - if DOND is gagging, it's perfectly possible to reach four or five endgames in a row. Although a gagging DOND is a rare beast nowadays, at least round here.

In a real blast from the past I actually had an 11000 target on DOND the other day! Has anyone ever had 10000, which I presume is the absolute minimum?

I've had a couple of 10,000's. Not since the old king died though. Gave up on this a long time ago - too many people too good at it and I prefer games where only I have the advantage
