as in TOTP2 but not the current yellow-backgrounded one....
Did everyone else here realise that when it asked you a 'how many weeks did so-and-so spend in the charts it was ALWAYS the middle answer?

Hang on... That definitely wasn't the case when the question was "How many weeks did X spend at No. 1?" when I'd say that the lowest answer was right in about 80% of cases, i.e. it was based on exploiting the fact that you'd always imagine famous songs would have spent ages at No. 1. Weren't those questions the vast majority of this type?

No. I was talking about this kind of thing:Nil Satis wrote:Hang on... Q. How many weeks did Manfred Mann spend it the charts in the 60's?
a. 354 b. 378 c. 380
The answer would be b.
These were obviously supposed to be major spoilers but they messed it up. Admittedly most people would just see those figures and give up in panic. I was lucky enough to work it out by accident. (or because I was playing it round the bloody clock!)
Good work, Roger - you were evidently playing this at a much higher level than I was as I'm not sure I saw spoilers of that nature at all often (if at all). There was another set of spoilers first wasn't there ("which of these was first at number [X] in year [Y]?") which meant I used to have to collect around about that point...
(Would agree with Nil Satis that the "weeks at number one" questions seemed kosher - rather sadly I know most of my weeks at number one up to about 2000, so I would hope I would have spotted if there'd been a wrong answers pattern. That said, I didn't spot the free games bug on TOTP3 (now fixed) until somebody told me...)
