Glasgow pub quizzes

Evening chaps - as a fair few Glasgow based quizzing aficionados frequent this board, I thought I'd post this here.
I've recently moved back to the Big Smoke and fancy trying out a pub quiz. However, as I understand, a majority are currently run by "Dr Paul" and are a bit pants (a meaningless quiz followed by an illegal lottery at the end). I'm not really worried about big prizes as we rarely, if ever win. However, does anyone know of any pubs hosting not-too-easy and not-too-hard quizzes in a convivial atmosphere, preferably near to the Underground?
Oh, and a choice of lagers beyond
Tennents or Stella would be a bonus.
Many thanks.

From my student days (3 years ago) I seem to remember Curlers, right next door to Hillhead Underground having an ok quiz.
There's a fair few pubs on Great Western Road that have a few as well, so Kelvinbridge is your stop for that one.

Cardinal - I'm slightly surprised that you seem to have forgotten about
Glasgow's leading trivia evening - Foxy's intermittent quiz at Bar Gandolfi (where he happens to work). Our 'cooking 'lager is amstel and we follow this up with heineken, krusovice and peroni, careful with the latter though it's £4.15 a pint ( a bit like stella in the actual big smoke i would imagine!).
Please notify me of your attendance at 7.30 this forthcoming monday so that i can stop nicking questions from the phoenix forum!

Cheers gents.
For some reason I thought you didn't do it anymore, Foxy. I don't think I can make it down this Monday due to prior commitments, but I'll certainly try and do so in future. The choice of beer and the promise of questions I might even have written are very tempting indeed!
How intermittent is intermittent?

There's a quiz in Blackfriar's on a Monday night - it starts around 8pm.
The questions are a good mix of general knowledge and some others you have to think about. Good quiz, usually a decent crowd and you get more than piss water on tap in there.

as promised cardinal,
the next foxy quiz is this monday at 7.30 in bar gandolfi.
it's a far more sophisticated experience than the aforementioned blackfriars i can assure you.
please feel free to attend even if you are not the cardinal.

I'm afraid I'm down in England all this week.
Anybody know if there's anything worth playing in Milton Keynes?
