DOND Quiz bug - surely not an emptier?

Was playing on a DOND quiz the other night (open a box, answer a few questions to continue, deal when you can). Wasn't an itbox, not sure what it was.
The whole machine was quite buggy - you couldn't access the 'more games' menu for example, just had to wait until they appeared in the main selection! So the attract loop was advertising games that couldn't be accessed.
Anyway, we were playing DOND and put £2-3 quid through without winning. After these games, the questions within each box didn't change. So, let's say you needed 4 correct questions to progress, you'd answer the first, then the next three would have the identical correct answer. The answer would appear as different options, but always the same.
Easy money we think, in our less-than-sober state. Unfortunately, the advantage is wiped out when the machine thinks to itself "they're rather good, I'll ask an impossible question". So after a few easy boxes of 4 identical questions, it asks:
What was Elvis Presley's army enrolment number?
A: 45871239
B: 53310761
C: 51470256
D: 94215563
...and we lost.
So has anyone else noticed this?
If I actually thought it was a possible emptier I'd not have posted it!
