pub crawl
will appeal to the broad spectrum of mugs and players. there is a very nice fascia of silly games like brawling with a drunk for bonuses. it is easy to get to £1 / £2 but i personally don't have the knowledge to get further than that. so a good mug can get small wins. probably not one for serious players but it is very stylish. beneath the skin it is nothing new (pub quiz meets TP 20 meets PMP) but the skin is impressive.

golden compass
or whatever that film is called. i'd imagine there is some relevance to the film. afaiac it is a more beautiful clone of 1vs100 with a facelift and therefore playable by clowns so it will probably give better returns. pretty easy for you lot; even i could ace it first time (for £1

) but once it has been played then i'd imagine the bank gets swollen. personally i enjoyed the wholly unneccessary touch of giving names to the symbols. except they spelled GRYPHON like midland used to.

some wordsearch quiz
pretty shitty on first view. i am comparatively quick at word-spotting but i couldn't get anywhere on two goes. my guess is that it is purely accumulative and will throw free wins to whoever plays it at the right time.

Just out of interest, has anybody worked out what 'bonus words' are available on the Wordsearch game? I've found 'TIME' which has an obvious help function, but no others.

Right, that's it, I'm off to bombard the high score board at your local Word Search purveyor...

Im still looking for a grid big enough to contain a hidden "this game is utter shite". Glad to see 1 vs 100 has made it onto my local ind:e.

Played Pub Crawl this morning and enjoyed the bold graphics but thought ultimately this one won't be a payer. It reminds me a bit of Trivia Whiz Bar Quiz although is less obviously unfair. The spoilers did start coming thick and fast once I'd reached £1, which I guess is the quid pro quo of having guaranteed prizes.
Also played 1 vs 100 - first time I've seen it on the Fatbox and good to see that it's spreading widely. However, concerningly, once I'd reached the endgame the game crashed straight back to the menu screen, denying me the chance for winnings. Is this a one-off fault or a widespread error in porting it across to the FatBox, does anyone know?
For thoughts on Golden Compass, see t'other thread.

it does appear to be a little unstable on some cabinets, same experience for me maybe 5 or 6 times now.

just to clarify, this crashing of 100-1 on qualification for the endgame seems to be confined to channel one cases.
i suggest we avoid playing and hope that someone connected reads these posts and gets it fixed.
happy and profitable 2008 to all,
Pike
they won't like it up 'em in 2008

This has happened to me every time and so I have now given up playing the game on these cabinets.
