List of SWP games

I've started the list on Wikipedia. Clearly there are dozens more but I need to go and eat. It would be some achievement if we could name all games on this list! Why not contribute?

Do you mean standalones?

Standalones and multi-style are both welcome on this list.
It seems academic as someone with an anonymous IP has deleted the list, describing it as 'pointless'. I can't imagine someone would describe a list of board games as 'pointless' on the board game page so find this rather insulting to quiz players.
It's also an anonymous IP which hardly legitimises the deletion. Perhaps someone here did it - if so, why?

It was certainly impolite of the user. Judging by the fact that the anonymous user in question has amended predominantly Scots-related articles, I'd wager it's one of our members north of the border...! Anyone care to own up?
That said, I did think this was a rather pointless enterprise in itself if only on account of the sheer numbers of different machines over the years. Unless someone is then prepared to set up a different entry for each machine with a full description of its gameplay etc. (all the while avoiding deletion on grounds of over-obscurity), I'm not sure I particularly saw the point. But, still impolite of the anonymous user to delete it without suggesting that course of action on the talk page first, I'd say.

Certainly wasn't me!
Does anybody know who the other people are on the discussion page?

I did acknowledge the anonymous user was wrong in any case! Looking at his other additions to Wikipedia, it seems as if he has a little catch-up on Wiki-etiquette needed.

The deleters IP Address is 82.35.59.204 which appears to be a Blueyonder address. From the evidence available I would guess the person who deleted it is dmac07. I apologise in advance if that is not the case

. The admin of this site could probably compare IP's though.
I don't think a long list of games would have been of general interest though.

Why not write the list here then?

99% of Wikipedia is not of general interest, but specialist interest.
I have long thought of making a list of quiz games in order to have them rated in a Top 100 style feature where fellow Fruitchatters could vote and comment. Perhaps I will do this on my own PC if there is no support for a web-based list.
Bye!

For what its worth, i would still be interested to see a matrix type approach of current offerings and regulars who have JPed them. I know some people like to be secret squirrel about that but as far as I can see under the current climate no-one would be giving too much away and if they felt they were they could always not participate?
Not volunteering though as my IT skills are basic at best.

If there is interest for it, I have web hosting space, and indeed programming skills.

I'd be more than happy to add a few comments on some games, if you can be arsed setting it up

I'll second that. There's nothing I love more than talking about quiz machines.

that's sorted then. I'll whip something up for you quizzers.
