Who is Captain Rubbish?

I was on Theobald's Road yesterday when I came across a Word Cube. A rare sighting indeed! "Splendid", thought I, "Twenty quid cometh my way", for it is usually the case that Word Cube spells jackpot for all but the most feeble of stab-artists.

Sadly, some doofus had been at the low-hanging fruit, collecting a measly couple of quid and spoiling my trip to Jackpotsville. In fact a meagre score of 2800 sat gloriously atop the scoreboard. "Who is this ISTENEM?", I pondered. "Must be some absolute numpty". So I release my considerations to you, Fruitchatters. Release me from my ignorance: who is the spanner "ISTENEM"?

I won £7 on Word Cube by the way. If Captain Rubbish hadn't previously fluffed it, I'd have had twenty. Grrr.

Here's a clue:

Look it UP.

P.S. Don't get too hacked off - £7 is pretty good on anything in these dark days...

tee-hee.
look it up in a hungarian dictionary and you'll discover that your life has hitherto had little or no direction.

That was a good drunken post.

2800 is poor UP. I expected more from a Word Up maestro. I think I got about 5500.

agreed, 2800 is not great.
but WC is not a proper game, just a cashpoint as you say. it is my bad that i hadn't made your experience on theobalds road utterly bleak by bagging the £20 (but if i had it wouldn't have still been there).
