Bullseye Prize Board

I've been playing this quite a lot recently as I find mid-quiz that I need to boost the credit count a little more than in years gone by. Rather like Word Up when the target is 750, it seems a pound is always available.
Am I wrong or does the £1 prize positioned at roughly 4 o'clock ALWAYS let you win it? Of course if you try for the £5, unless the damned thing wants to pay, it will scoot you directly to the next black segment. That happens with such regularity that I simply take the pound and reinvest.

Views differ. I think the £1 at seven o'clock is always available, but that's just my take on things. I suspect the reality may be that any one of the £1s is always available, but not more than one unless the machine is feeling "generous". Personally I've all but stopped playing Bullseye as it's so boring.

Well there is a skill element, in that when the quid is available it takes a minimal amount of skill to hit the red. But in general, if it wants to send you into the black it will.
Whether this is enough to make it an SWP rather than an AWP I'm not too sure, but then the same can be said for virtually all the games.

Having pretty much given up on this through sheer tedium of it all, I had a rare game recently where missed the £1 and potted it straight in the £5 by accident

In my opinion if you get to the prize board then £1 is always available.
When these first came out, £4 at 11 o'clock and £5 bull used to be common, and were hit with great freqeuency. I guess that goes back to what was said on another thread about Deal or No Deal - with fewer people playing the game, the chances of bigger wins are diminished.

i got to the prize board last week on the original version with 2 try agains and a reveal answer. hit the 4 o clock quid and kept going as i couldnt lose yet. didnt get any spoilers and threw every dart. finished with a quid and all lives intact. shite game, no skill in endgame bar the quid.

there is some kudos in getting down from 801 and all the way through your nine darts in the endgame to be denied even a pound £1. i'd sooner have that on my CV than 201, bully's bonus.
of course the endgame is rigged. take it on the chin and be happy to have doubled your money.
