i suspended my boycott this afternoon after noticing a new release
boggle
coronation street
an interesting card strategy game
a veiled DOND clone
resurrected that rigged bagatelle game
didn't have the time to play much except that CS sucked me in with the innovative progressive format (a new idea from itbox? cripes!)
anyone got anything on these?

itbox new release
nobody ever wins on those things.
Played Corrie and boggle. BOggle can drive you nuts trying to link all the words over, then the plural of that word, the past tense, pretense etc etc.
Corrie good, u can tell when its going to pay out! The DOND type of cash game is interesting, though greedy palyers will no doubt gfet fobbed off with a free game.

It's called 'Suit Pursuit' and it's kind of like Text Tiles with cards - you have to join adjacent cards in a constantly replenished grid to make Poker hands. It's quite good fun.Weyland wrote:What's this? Like Pyramids?unknownpseudonym wrote:an interesting card strategy game

Hi Matt
The Countdown game isn't new in that it has been around for about four months but I would still agree with the points I made at the time:
http://www.fruitchat.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4547
namely that while it is a faithful adaptation of the TV game, it doesn't offer any serious prospect of winning more than £1 or £2.
I'm an old traditionalist in that I don't mind there being some games around that are more fun to play than profitable but I preferred it when there WERE actually some profitable games around. On that note, Caveman Capers appeared to have been killed already as a decent game - the last six or seven machines I've played it on, both ItBox and Gamesnet, have been in full non-payout mode, i.e. a minimum of 2000 points for £1 and all the prizes after that about 400-500 points apart. My pipe and slippers await me at the Quiz Machine Players' Retirement Home...
