underambitious paragons

i have noticed some oddities on the new wide cabinet; quite a few seem to be offering an ancient (but not very profitable) set of games: spend it like..? that castle card game, take your pick (knight theme), QFG, bollockbusters, HHH, golden boot etc. and no second screen of games. the older paragon cabs seem to me to be very playable but the newer ones have this drivel, QFG and dungeon dosh are the only two i played.
given that the hardware is powerful enough to host games like C&R, B*P and WC with minimal lag it seems bizarre (lazy) that they are only offering old games on the newest cabinets. could be just that the engineer in my area is an idle toad but surely they'd make more money with some decent games.

Most of the Carlos Fandango super wide screen Paragons I see tend to exhibit some problem with some of the games, due to the width of the screen.
Bullseye nealy always has bad calibration on the touchscreens. Battleships is another pup when playing on the widescreen version (although it's perfectly fine on the older machines)
Maybe they're going back to basics to iron out a few bugs in the newer games.

I think you'll find its that some operators are not updating their machines correctly.

I had just found out the other day that one of my local arcades has just installed a Paragon 3 terminal! But with only one screen; it includes games like Bullseye, Pimp My Ride, Cops N Robbers, Hex Appeal, Word Up etc.

an SWP in an arcade? peculiar. i've not seen such a thing since the tri-wwtbam. does it get played much? if it does i'd imagine it is by addicts wanting to see their money last a bit longer. unless a serious player has eyed it, it must be ripe for the plucking.
Do us a favour CDP, to give an idea of the standard of players there, would you look up the WU top score/word next time you are in there.

I believe it does get played a lot, it was always being played when i was there for the day. I don't know how long it has been there for.Does it have a note acceptor attached as standard? Although when i played Bullseye it was on 501 and 601.
TBH i not really that surprised as that arcade is cash rich. It has almost every very expensive multiplayer and machine on the market including a
£5 10p Monopoly 4pl Plasma, Party Time Bingo, Golden Game Deluxe X2, Red white and blue, Circus Circus Circus, Lucky 7s and Shake Rattle N Roll
£25 30p Golden Game, Party Games, Party Time, Gold Rush Stampede, Red White and Blue and Vegas Nights
Section 16s- Monkey Business, Little Devils Slotto, Reel King Slotto, Party Games Slotto and Mega Bars 500.
Sorry gone a bit off topic, but that was to justify how rich the arcade is!
Including £5 single players like Rock Star, AFU, Crazy Cobra, Jackpot Genie, Bullseye, Pink Panther, Bottle Bank, Monopoly WOTW, Im a Celebrity GMOOH, NMTJ.
