Pressed collect tonight to be greeted by the following message:

"Please inform operator - Handpay £XX.XX"

Barman paid up after going to speak to the manager. Is this the future, or is this just the latest "Hopper error" message?

As I left, the barman went over to the machine. I assume it needed to be reset to get rid of the message, but it's probably just as likely that he switched it off.

Better than the "vaporize bank" leaving you with £0.00 (and the machine unable to accept coins) error which still also exists on current issues.

Yes this has happened to me. The bar staff paid out, moaned about the machine doing it a lot. When I went back the next week they'd got rid of the machine.
