Actually played a Pub Pod the other day.Great looking machine but that was the only positive thing I can say about it.
Fat Spanner seem to be expanding the non question element to the menu and introducing AWPs on the units.Im expecting it to be commercial suicide as the awp element will never compete with the stand alone fruities and the paltry swp content on offer wont have people beating a path to the units.Of all the games they had to put on their units they have put some on the shittiest on the menu, yes its my opinion but most other players will agree with me im sure. Its a great shame.I would be interested how they make their selection.I know for a fact that there are ex players employed by the company and I cannot believe they pick the games, it must be people at the top end who have never played a machine in their life.

Has anybody now seen a pub pod? The content is piss poor and I would rather drink my own piss than play this crock of shite. A good example of a games developer / machine maker being totally clueless. Fat Spanner are offering 'conversions'. I wonder how many mugs have converted. Its not often I say anything positive so say about GW but if anybody converts from a GW to a Pub Pod they need counselling!

Yes, offhand I can think of five locations with one.

You back up my point , you surely know hundreds of sites and there are 5 pub pods .They are hardly blazing a trail across the U.K.
You would think this may lead Fat Spanner to have doubts over their product, but Idoubt it.

A quick check suggests I've seen nine. My number of sites is in four figures, not three ;) but I see what you're getting at. Two have been converted back to GWs, incidentally.

I have known organised AWPists to have a low 4 figure pub count. At its peak mine was around 250 in early 2007. SWP players need to travel further and need more locations as turnover is horrendous on most games. An AWP will typically recover within the week. At the moment my current portfolio is 2.

Ok that was a silly joke, but often there's a lot of truth in some jokes.

Just now I'm not travelling as widely as I once did, so in terms of currently active locations, it's low 4 figures. If I include everywhere which has had machines, plus the places I should be going but have neither the time nor sanity to get round, it would be about 5000. There was a point at which I was given another player's list after an argument between him and his business partner - that gave me a completely new area, thoroughly checked, and I played it for a couple of years. A lot of time in travel inns though ;)
