Been anywhere nice on your hols recently, Cardinal?

Sadly no. Although I've been on a few trips with my work and stayed in a few hotels round the Midlands.

Did you observe one of my mediocre scores on Word-Up? Or did my ceremonial robes attract attention?

Just the midlands?

Nowhere else?

If not, then someone is impersonating you and your mediocre Word Up scores.

Er. Well I live in Scotland. Oh, and I was in Ireland last week.

Either of these places?

Now you're geting warm.

Did you find anything of interest in Ireland?

I wasn't playing anything in Ireland, except for the It-box in Belfast Superbowl. Remember taking a £10 out of Deal or No Deal, which is a PB. Was it there?

Belfast Superbowl was also the very first place I was banned from around 11 years ago.

hang on a minute.
you got banned from belfast superbowl.
and then you report robbing the machine in, wait for it, belfast superbowl.
with all due respect, are you nuts?
honestly no wonder we get a bad name for ourselves when people like you can't even respect an 11 year ban!
actually this reminds me of one of the most haunting bans i've ever had.the location:booths/enterprise amusements in glasgow city centre.the machine:crystal maze 1.the crime:winning 5 uk pounds.never mind the fact i'd put about 10 grand in the puggies over the years i got banned for winning a fiver a couple of times-this was long before i was good enough to win repeatedly from the same machine.
the best/scariest bit though was when i was arguing about the length of the ban as i thought forever to be a bit unreasonable and the woman behind the desk closed with this chilling parting shot,
"and i'll be behind this desk forever, son, to make sure you don't get back in".
fair play to her, she was there for about another 8 years.

I've been barred from arcades before I've even put a penny into a machine (and never been there before in my life). Never got barred from that Booths (is that the one on the 3 levels?), but I would never ever go there again. It's more shark-infested than the Indian Ocean.

Funnily enough, when I got barred from the Superbowl, it was just one guy on a power trip... nobody else really minded my presence. All I had done wrong was write something on a bit of paper when someone won a jackpot (even at that tender age, I was on the lookout for scams). For years later, he chucked me out whenever he saw me.. he worked there for a good 5-6 years and must have chucked me out at least a dozen times. We always had a friendly bit of banter as he was escorting me out the door. In the end, it became so farcical that once I refused to leave. He stood there looking nonplussed, and that was the last time I ever saw him.

T'was indeed the Superbowl, although I'm surprised you don't know an ITBox from a Gamesnet. I take it you're from Belfast then.

Interesting that your PB on DOND is now £10 from the Superbowl - snap.

First game, down to 50p and £7, offered swap but didn't take it - won 50p.
Next game, down to 40p and £10, offered swap, took it and won £10.
I remember someone else here saying that they took a swap and won the bigger prize. Do I see a pattern emerging? Has anyone not taken the swap and won the bigger prize? Is it not odd that it didn't give me the £7 in game one, but gave me £10 in game 2?

Also interesting is that you refer to Belfast as being in Ireland, but then I suppose that's hardly a surprise from a cardinal.

Spent many years in Belfast during my early ecclesiastical studies. Still go back sometimes to see Papa Richelieu.

Don't really notice the type of machine. They're all much of a muchness to me. They all have the a few old crowdpleasers worth a punt. Except that one with a choice of 9 games with clouds in the background.. Paragon :o ops: ?

I've debated long and hard that DOND is random. I believe the end game is rigged, and think that changing the boxes, just like choosing the initial box, is an irrelevance. It might have had no intention of giving you £7, as it wanted to give a bigger prize in the next game.

That reminds me.. I was supposed to travel round Glasgow to test my theory with Docteur Renard, but I've been quite busy recently. Still up for it?

Absolument mon chere cardinale.
Tu (il faut m'excuser) crois encore que DOND suive une patterne qui est decide par noel edmonds mais a mon avis c'est encore possible que l'argent est randome.
Qui sait?
Alors a glasgow pour trouver la verite.
I don't know how to do graves/accents.
Sorry.

Oui. C'est vrai, je crois que "barbe rangée" a decideé l'argent avant le jeux commence.

Je ne suis pas libre cet weekend, mais j'essayerai toi-rencontre le suivant dimanche.

Je will be in touche.
