The title of the poll is "the QAT debate; is it a word?" .... surely then we are debating whether "IT" is a word?

had the ; been a : you'd have a stronger case but you can deliberately misinterpret pretty much anything if you really want to.

What would happen in the event of a tie-break? You'll need a closing date for entries (excuse me, I must have watched too much Blue Peter as a child) and a strategy to fall back on in the event of a dead heat.

in the event of a tie the casting vote will be given by woodsmic.

Although dubious, i believe it is legitimate. Kinda like people spelling minuscule as miniscule. So many people do it, it's generally accepted now.
