Not much point in having a secret ballot if the only 2 people to vote so far are you and me, UP!

My intellect is indeed flawed, so I shall allow my desire for acceptance to triumph and say 'yes'.

I now look clever, see?

Sorry Demmerz... though now the vote is poised tantalizingly at one each, we still all know who voted for what.

Just noticed something...

The title of the poll is "the QAT debate; is it a word?" .... surely then we are debating whether "IT" is a word?

Can I change my vote?

pedantry is normally good but not just now Your Eminence, we are discussing a matter of great importance.
had the ; been a : you'd have a stronger case but you can deliberately misinterpret pretty much anything if you really want to.

Sorry, didn't mean to trivialise the issue.

However, if the Great And The Good of http://www.fruitchat.co.uk vote in favour of qat being a word, surely that means we'll be able to use it on this messageboard without fear of reprisals?

What would happen in the event of a tie-break? You'll need a closing date for entries (excuse me, I must have watched too much Blue Peter as a child) and a strategy to fall back on in the event of a dead heat.

*ahem*

I've been awake since a good 9am.... :P

Qat...i'm saying yes. :P

Although dubious, i believe it is legitimate. Kinda like people spelling minuscule as miniscule. So many people do it, it's generally accepted now.
