Super Sevens - Gamesnt
A none Q&A game my mazooma. Looks naff, plays like a dogs dinner. You have 5 bays which you must fill with dice to try and make a total of 7 in each bay. You have a limited number of re-throws so you can choose to skip the current number on offer. If you bust, the bay becomes inactive - or at least thats what it says in the rules. I bust loads of times where i didn't have a choice, but only once did any bay become inactive, so i don't understand the rules. It seems absolutely 100% rigged, and was the least fun you can have on an SWP... not strictly true, but its not very good.
Monkey Business - ItBox
Another very good looking game from Revolution (on the ItBox) - someone was playing this for a while before i could get on it. The girl that was with the guy playing it commented on how she liked it cos you don't need to answer any questions. Very true. Its a "pick up fruit from one column, put it down in another column to create at least three touching fruits the same, and these disappear" game. You have to avoid spears, and spiders. Rigged to death, cos the speed that it adds more fruits to the bottom of the pile (if one reaches you at the top of the screen, its game over) varies wildly. No other way of controlling it really though, cos its round based. I'd have preferred this game if it had been time baserd (like word up) or with a points bar with cash on it, as it would probably have felt less convoluted. Still, a good game with only one or two minor draw backs. Should do well.
Hi-Spy - ItBox
I normally like Channel 1 games, but although this looks ok, i don't really like it. Its quite boring and every mystery i had containted three negatives and one positve. Its basically a sky scraper with about 40 levels. Each level contains three categories, which you chose any of. Each one has a number of moves associated with it. These are moves UP the tower - most i saw was three. The cash is placed at certain levels of the tower. Its not a bad game, but its equally not an excellent game.
Fruit Frenzy - Paragon/Gamesnet
Still my favourite game at the moment. Its simply a "move a fruit to make three or more in a row" game, but its addictive and, once you figure out how to get off the first level (which is hard) then its pretty good fun for 50p!
Smashing Up An ItBox - ItBox
New game where you and a group of your mates set about the ItBox with fists, fet and stools - as happened in O'Neills on Friday night. I don't know what it had done to them, but about 4 guys were "escorted out" and the screen was smashed and bits were hanging off the terminal. I might have to try this game - but i'm not sure how you win any money out of it, or whether there is a high-score table
