As unknownpseudonym has kindly agreed to judge, here is a new topic where you can post your 'Great Words' that don't make the board because they are not long enough or don't hold any Q's, X's etc to get a high score.

Format should be:

Word, Points, Location, Date

Thanks unknownpseudonym, will get started tonight :D

If they don't make the board, how will points, location and date be useful, other than just for the satisfaction of the statisticians?

I shall also start on working on some "great" words!

"who has delusions of adequacy?"

I think we can too easily forget that our WU team's founding raison d'etre was to detect, demoralise and destroy - though not necessarily in that order.

True indeed. Appreciation of others should be done by looking down, not up.
Besides which, it would be nice if Dave Jon started properly submitting their scores to the national score boards.

Hi all, Jon and I took on the Marlborough Arms last night and had a few good words:

SKYSCRAPER
PINEAPPLES
JOBLESSNESS
REGRETFULLY
DEPARTMENTAL
to name but a few.....

But we can also tell you now for certain that
QUNITESSENTIALIZED/ISED
DEPARTMENTALIZED/ISED

aren't in the Word Up Dictionary..... Gutted we could have had two massive words last night.

Anyway new high scores in the Marlboro' and Cambridge, we were going to take on the Court but there were some people in there hogging the machine.

Marlboro' 2106 (Our new high score by a point)
Cambridge 1956

Happy hunting Vajinal, the Court is coming home this weekend as well

I hit a 'repellent' today, which was ironic in that I had some idiot looking on saying things like "You've got CUM!", "MUM" and other such words that are not particularly useful when the grid is going to be tough enough to get to 1350 unless cleared (which I didn't on this go).

Hi sorry, been away on holiday so haven't been playing for a while, no word up machines in Gatwick Airport.... whats that all about???

Anyway had a little go on my lunch hour today, on a machine where the longest word was QUEEREST and the high scores 1050 to 600. Thought yes bit of cash coming here, £1 was at 1850, unbelievable for a machine that didn't even have an 8 letter word on it!

Welcome back to Blighty. Perhaps the Gruesome Twosome can try out the new Word Cube game and join us on the National Scoreboard.
