Well last pub of the day the other night and I decide to have a 'proper' drink. Peanuts into the fruit for the jackpot. So I meandered over to the quiz box. A Kudos if I was not mistaken. Tooling around by Libra Games caught my eye as did Bully 'Just Darts'.
Just Darts doesn't deserve a thread of its own, so I'll be brief. No question, just darts. Essentially it's another SWP?AWP which may or ahem, may not be illegal soon/now/whenever.
It's a blatant fix. Nothing more to be said. Go out on nine darts on 301/201 (when I played - no need to be more, it can just fix it if it wants) for a shot at the Prize Board. On the Prize board keep hitting prizes until you go in the black. In the black and you'll need to go out on the total again with nine darts. Repeat ad nauseum or ad £1.
Tooling Around is very fat coffee bloke in graphics style. Probably the same people. Think robots and guns. And fat robot gun scientist ammo warehouse bloke.
Anyway. You have three stacks of 12 boxes which can be bonus, skill or question.
Bonus = +AMMO, GUN, PASS or XTRA LIFE.
Skill = Find the grenade, memorise the symbol sequence or count the shots on the robot target.
Question = Question
You need the gun and some ammo to get to the RAMPAGE round and remember, there is a bonus at the bottom of each stack. Caeser's is Libra isn't it? So I assume that you can't always get all the keys and on this, I guess you can't always get enough ammo to see you to £20.
Anyhow, assuming you've been skillful/lucky enough to get to the rampage, you have nine boxes, each guarded by a robot. To destroy the robot, you can either blast it with one of your AMMOs or answer a question. There are boxes containing 0,0,0,+1,+1,+1,+2,+2,+2, so 9 steps up the cash ladder which goes
10p (start) - 20p - 30p -50p -£1 -£2 -£3 - £5 -£10 - £20
Your first boxes will be 0s and you can only get three questions. So you need six ammos at least to be in with a sniff of £20.
Each stack contains 12 boxes, you can see the first three (or two) boxes in each stack.
Anyway I made a few pennies on it and it seemed quite fair bar the symbol sequence. Think those ESP symbols.
Starts off memorising three, shows you them for about five seconds.
Be warned, next level up is to show you five for about one second. Not so easy.
Find the grenade is proper fruit boy skill, we could find Indiana's Holy Grail so a poxy grenade under a cup, no problem.
Shots one can be naughty. You'll see the shots being fired, on later difficulty levels, watch out for shots eclipsed under other shots!
Probably worthless of serious consideration, but the games seem easier than Caeser's, bar the sequence one.
Enough babble,
Cheers JG

so a poxy grenade under a cup

Does sound very CP-ish, as you say and is probably fixed to the roof, but... As with CP, worth the occaisional 50p if you've still got a bit of a reasonable pint left and nothing else to fiddle with...
"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."
I've always got something to fiddle with, it's just not always the time or the place though, so I play parlour games instead.
Oh yes and the other thing I played was 'Colour of Money' which was rather poor in my opinion, a stupidly high target 85,000ish (when the BEST machine will give 20,000 and lots of QQQQs all around), not to mention the first five machines only went up to a max of 6000 before freezing out - a tad fixed maybe? I can't say for sure, only gave it four games, but all of a very similar ilk.
Poxy grenades under cups was my favourite game.
