march of the skillquest

Post by cool »

First it was the boxing machine that dealt a blow to swp's , now its the Skillquest sitting in the spot where the swp was.
What is the attraction of this cheap looking pseudo skill machine to publicans?

I think the game title refers to you looking at the machine in a quest to find out exactly where the skill is required.

I think this is a rework of a former machine known as Riggedlette.

Most rigged game in the world since records began.
It isn't skill, it isn't legal, it isn't going to be around for long.

Is this that thing that, to the uninitiated, looks like a 'normal' paragon / itbox (can't remember exactly which - but I remember being 'tricked' into thinking it was!) but there's just some guff on there where you have to stop coloured balls at a certain time, etc. etc. I only looked at the attract screen, thankfully!

Lets think about it like this shall we...
Roulette naturally pays out at 97.2% - and thats with no skill whatsoever.
So, if you then make it skill, the payout percentage HAS to go up... it can't go down unless you are doing something illegal... i.e, making it not skill.
With that in mind, ask yourself how its possible to make Skill Quest run at 90%, or 80%, or even 30% if its running at true SWP percentage...
