Isn't that the whole point of playing a quiz machine in a pub?? A light bit of entertainment with that chance of winning a quid or 2??

The Big reds is the only game in the last several years that I've JP'd legitamately. It gives punters a fair shot even though the Boxes are weighted so heavily against you.

It might only be a £1 win but it's still a win, your every day pub player who likes a bash on the old SWP will remember any game that they have a win off, and keep going back to it time and again.

ERM THANKYOU GAZ! That's what I tried to say on my big reds quiz post, but as usual those egghead quiz pros come all high and mighty on me.... YES ITS NOT INTELLECTUALLY STIMULATING AND YOU CANT REGULARLY PROFIT FROM PLAYING THEM FROM SKILL BUT:

The GAME ACTUALLY PAYS OUT!

THE OTHER QUIZ GAMES NEVER PAY OUT!

DO YOU NOT GET THIS!!!!

(to normal punters, other than odd quids), also I disagree about box weightings from my personal experience!

Oh dear, quizmaster, do I really need to spell it out again for you. You'd have thought you quiz players can actually get the point without it being spelled out!

If you look at the post BELOW THAT PHRASE I SAY "TO NORMAL PUNTERS APART FROM THE ODD QUID"

There is no denying to the vast majority of people who play quiz machines, the games either payout nothing constantly, or £1 or maybe £2 at a huge push. Obviously there is certain game excepetions but this is probably true for 90%+ of the available games on the cabinet.

At least Big Reds offers the player however skilled an opportunity to win the £10 jackpot.

Time for you to all back down and admit I'm right on this one I think :P

Dave seems like a nice bloke, why did everybody hijack his informative thread to continue a row they were having elsewhere?
Seems unfair to me, tell 'em to bugger off Dave! :)

IMPORTANT MESSAGE!

PLEASE NOTE Garys and Obs other favourite game is Skill Ball Bingo.

Together with Borg Contact they are cutting a swathe through the country.

In order to stop their rampage the makers are introducing a ball 91 (Gary and Ob every one million pounds worth of plays they are making one=91)

The ball 91 will never come up but will it stop our intrepid trio?

who knows...........................................

That wasn't what I meant as I've seen your maths post on this subject, I meant weightings as in theres 25 boxes available, It costs you a quid to get there but only 8 of the 25 boxes are £1 or above, So then they're weighted against you before you start, however the £10 box increases the bankers offer as long as you don't hit it 1st round.

Played it saturday, the £10 was still there on the last box, £5 odd offer, stuck with my box for 20p :x
Next game had £4 in my box.
