Good to keep all high-score shenanigans within the fruit chat family.

I think I saw ggdr entering the rankings with a bullet as well. Any other FC participants willing to declare their hand? I confess I always have a go on this game, but am generally absolute rubbish (particularly on the wordsearch, spot the difference and su doku rounds). My best is 1468 for a crisp fiver at a virgin site.

i've had a couple of lower ranked top 50 scores but nothing very impressive yet. will be visiting a new city over the weekend so hopefully be dealt some favourable games.
the only game i'm rubbish on is the summing up because my arithmetic is poor. the maze can be a pig, STD can be very tricky and su doku can still cheat but aside from that i enjoy all the games. might treat myself to a lunch hour in the pub but realistically i'll be playing WU if it is back.

RICH is the local Luton word-up hero - it might be his doing.

Great score, DMAC.

I managed to go somewhere unprebummed today (haven't been quizzing much of late) and also got my first £10.

I now have 2/4 of the 1600+ Puzzler scores: 2nd place 1629 and 4th place 1604. 8)

btw LOTS of crazy 1700+ scores in Norwich, including a 24??! All signed off with the default name. One machine had four over 1700.

Can't feel too cocky, tho - just found out that I passed up a £5 rave record that goes for £30 online. :(

Very good work DMAC and VBOB - 1675 is a fantastic score DMAC.

Very interesting report from Norwich Bob - putting two and two together I wonder whether the goings-on that led to the temporary withdrawal of the game originated in Norwich? I remember that when Mr Brewis was doing Big Match, Norwich was one of only two or three places he went where someone had clearly done all the Big Matches, so there is evidently a very good local player round that way.

The maximum score on Puzzler is 2000, so I guess that 2000+ efforts are evidence of some kind of Easter Egg rather than impossible skill levels.

Yes, I suppose I meant "good player" in the sense of "enterprising" rather than "nails at Puzzler"! Although there are a few (presumably genuine) scores from up that way on the countrywide fifty aren't there?

Doesn't everyone in Norwich have two heads due to the shallowness of the local gene pool? Must be an advantage when it comes to the quiz machines...
