fantasy football quiz
No, not me guv - I've never been to Falkirk. Sadly the only things I know about the place are the football team and the Falkirk Wheel, which actually crops us a question on one of the current games - my answer the first time I had that was that it was a dance.
ops:
You will find that Evertonians get everywhere, even in the rarified quiz world. One of the top quizzers in the country (Olav) is another Evertonian, although he rarely plays the machines I believe.
P.S. You notice I didn't Riise to the temptation of mentioning last night. I have learned to my cost down the years that the Reds always find a way to win, usually in the most unexpected way, so I am fully expecting a comeback next Wednesday...

I got through a season on a Gamesnet last night and ended on 88 points for £5, pleasingly having been moved from 3rd to 2nd on goal difference on the last couple of questions. Even more pleasingly (and probably a lot more childishly) the 88 was enough to put me in first place on goal difference only in the High Scores table to someone who had used the same initials and played as Chelsea for every single one of the other top scores. When I turned round to leave and saw the sour-as-old-milk face on the barman I made the educated guess that he was the said Chelsea fan and that he had been watching me play over my shoulder.

On FFQ, I agree that at most INCAd venues there's little chance of a JP, but I think there's always a chance of a lesser prize (for me, I never manage to JP it anyway - well, OK, just the once, so INCA's playing it has little practical effect!)
There's also a number of ItBoxes that INCA's not managed to find - I can think of at least three examples within 15 minutes of my work - and on this the prospect of a JP must be slightly higher (one of these is the one by my office, and there's a string of scores by me from 98 downwards testifying to my repeated unsuccessful attempts to get my second JP - one day I know INCA will find it, and score a JP with his first play).
Also, the game is fun, so provided you manage to go the whole season, it's worth playing even if you finish 5th or 6th (don't think I've ever finished 6th, oddly).

On that note, I managed to top an INCA score in the city today - 93 so probably one of the lowest I've seen (I got 96). My fourth 95+ this week (no JPs though!) so maybe I am getting better.dmac wrote:I did top one of his less impressive scores (Baker St. Spoons I think) but it wasn't a JP and, although I did find a few he hadn't played, there are obviously other good players (MIKE?, Pike, STAZetc.). So tough going all in all.
